When people visit Saigon I always direct them to Fanny’s Ice Cream, which uses all-natural ingredients and offers memorable local flavors like young rice, ginger and mangosteen. This Sunday, my son, who is six, ordered one of Fanny’s special ice cream creations - Mickey, a mouse-head made out of chocolate ice cream, wafers, fruit and whipped cream.
The poor kid took one mouthful and began to scream, jump around and wag his tongue. Instead of the regular chocolate ice cream, his Mickey had been made with a scoop of Fanny’s famous chili-chocolate. If you like spice, their rich, dark chili-chocolate is unbeatable. But it’s not recommended for small children.
Love Chilli and Chocolate together. Understand how the kids may not appreciate it though!
