As a favor to a friend I agree to do an interview with some guys from VTV10 who were doing a story about foreigners living in Vietnam. Little did I know that the interview would be in Vietnamese.
My Vietnamese is seriously dodgy. Let’s hope they do some serious editing.
To liven things up the reporter wanted me to discuss the kids’ books on which I’m currently working, and film me showing the drawings to my own children. Before the cameras started to roll my kids were interested enough, but the set-up took ages and eventually they lost interest and decided to shoot me and the cameramen with lego guns.
The highlight was when I showed by two-year-old daughter a drawing of a red-headed crane and said: Day la con gi? (What animal is that?) and she yelled: “Cock a doodle doo!”
