Christmas is coming and we’re off to the beach to enjoy some fresh air, open space and the ocean. While many expats in Saigon head for Mui Ne, which lies 4.5 hours away, the drive is so hectic – and dangerous – that we’ve opted to go to Ho Tram, which can be reached in just over 2 hours away. For now, Ho Tram is really quiet and undeveloped, although a giant casino and resort project is under construction nearby. I’d better go and pack.
